You’re excited by building connections and helping people feel welcome, informed, and valued within a creative community. You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, and you enjoy being a reliable point of contact for artists, members, and partners.
You’re organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple tasks at once—whether that’s managing data, supporting communications, or assisting with events and programs.
You work well as part of a team, maintain open and effective communication with management, and can manage your time independently to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments.
Community engagement and behind-the-scenes coordination energise you! You’re confident using tools like Google Suite and databases or CRM systems, and you take pride in maintaining accurate records, clear communications, and smooth administrative processes.
Physical demands:
You won’t need the strength of a powerlifter, but this role does require a solid amount of hands-on, on-site work. You’ll be actively involved in setting up and taking down program and special event infrastructure, which includes lifting and moving equipment and materials (up to approximately 50 lbs) in a safe, supported environment. Expect to be on your feet, moving between spaces, driving to events, and pitching in wherever needed to make things run smoothly. This role will also include evenings and weekends– perfect for someone with giddy-up-and-go who enjoys being part of the action.

- Experience supporting or delivering programs and events, preferably within the arts, culture, or nonprofit sector (an asset).
- Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the Wood Buffalo arts and culture community.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative, people-first approach.

- A positive attitude and a good sense of humour—especially during busy event days!
