A God’s eye is a yarn weaving and a spiritual object. Ojos de Dios have traditionally been created by new Mexicans for celebrating a new born baby or blessing a home.
When a child is born, the central eye is woven by the father, then one eye is added for every year of the child’s life until the child reaches the age of five.
The spiritual eye of the Ojo de Dios is thought by some believers to have power to see and understand things unknown to the physical eye.
